What are Line Freezing injections?

Line freezing injections are used to smooth out lines and wrinkles using Botulinum Toxin type A, it is more commonly referred to as ‘Botox’.

How does it work?

Botulinum toxin works at the motor nerve endings to temporarily prevent nerve signals from reaching the muscle and as a result the muscle then relaxes. In turn as the muscle relaxes the skin smooths out, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. 

What areas can be improved?

Line freezing injections are most commonly used to treat and reduce frown lines, worry lines, crows feet, lip lines, jaw line and neck lines. Botulinum toxin type A can also be used in the correction of asymmetry of facial muscles due to underlying medical conditions and the reduction of headaches and severe migraines. 

How many treatments are recommended?

Treatment is recommended every 4-6 months. 

What results can I expect from this treatment?

Results can take up to 14 days to take effect, the results obtained from treatment usually last up to 4 months.

Do I need a consultation to have this treatment?

Yes, Botulinum toxin type A is a prescription only medicine and a consultation must take place prior to any treatment being carried out.
